PMB Oncology
Nobody at Discovery Medical Aid can / is prepared to assist with regards to what is classified as PMB care with regards to an oncology patient. According to the Medical Schemes Board, medical aids are obliged to cover PMB level of care from the scheme. When asked what is PMB level of care, I am told to contact the doctor! Surely the doctor works for the doctor and not for the medical aid? Is it not the medical aid's responsibility to advise? Or at least explain?
