Payment for Hospitalisation and Liver Transplant

My wife is currently being treated for Advanced Liver Failure and she had been hospitalised from the 17th to the 19th December 2015 at the Gateway Private Hospital and Discovery Health tells me that all payment to the Hospital and related health care providers is currently under review by their Medical Review Team and they are only prepared to fund these payment 80% subject to the decision of their Review Team .My policy states that I have unlimited hospital cover at 100% . I cannot understand why they are hassling with these payment .Furthemore my wife is being treated by Professors and Specialised Doctors who understand her condition intimately and are these people at Discovery Health liver specialist to make these decision.<br> <br> As I am on the Coastal Saver Option,the only place in the country that perform Liver Transplant is the Donald Gordon Transplant Centre in Gauteng and my Discovery Health Consultant has been in contact with Discovery Health with regards to funding for the operation and related health care cost and they are being sticky about this.She is currently being assessed by the Transplant Centre and they will provide all the motivation for the Operation.<br> <br>
