Park Run South Africa. Sponsored by Discovery Health. Thanks to the Sponsorship of Discovery Health a great number of South Africans can enjoy a Safe and Friendly outdoor Healthy envirement. It's a weekly event held at various venues. You're most likely to have one near your Town or City. Perhaps the name 'Park Run' may put some off. The name in reality just suggests that it's a non-competitive outdoor event, You're free to walk, push a pram, and walk your pet dogs on a leash. The only rule is when you walk with your pet it must be on 'a short' a leash and children under a certain age must be with an adult. Thank you Discovery Health for Sponsoring this wonderful family event for all who consider their health is of utmost importance in times like now with strict health rules. Also, each Venue must have Volunteers monitor the route to assure safety. By the way, this event is international and held every Saturday (weather permitting) I'm at the present just a jogger. The object is not on competition but just on trying to do your (Personal Best) PB time,(optional) usually about 1hr. for the 5km route.
