Overall experience - Classic Smart Plan

I had a mixed experience with my Discovery Classic Smart plan. On the one hand, I appreciated the unlimited GP visits and comprehensive hospital coverage, which provided valuable peace of mind. The plan was particularly helpful during my hospital stay for a procedure.

However, I encountered some issues with maternity claims payment. Despite being on the same plan as my sister, who received full payment for her pediatrician claims after giving birth just two months before me, under similar conditions, my own claim was not paid in full. Furthermore, I had to pay out-of-pocket for several expenses, including gynecologist the last 3 visits during my maternity, blood tests, emergency unit visits, specialist consultations, and scans.

While the plan was beneficial for hospital admissions and GP visits, the inconsistencies in claims payment and the additional expenses were disappointing. Due to rising costs, I eventually canceled my membership. Fortunately, I've found a similar plan at a lower price point.
