ONLY R1000 medical cover given to newborn baby

<p>Added my newborn daughter to my new Discovery Health medical aid policy, pushing my monthly premium to well over R3k a month. Per my understanding, she was supposed to get a prorated day-to-day expense pool of R7000. According to Discovery, the prorated amount which was given to my daughter was only R1100. This is supposed to be covering her day-to-day expenses for the next 10 months!! That's R100 a month!!! So now we will be forced to move into the above threshold pool as the hospital expenses came in and they were not pretty.</p> <p> </p> <p>Very disappointed with Disovery. Never would have thought that "The best medical aid in South Africa" would be less effective than CAMAF whom I was with last.</p>
