Oncology Treatment Plan approval pending for over 5 weeks

<p>On the 15th April 2016, my mother had her 1st Oncology appointment after being accepted on the KeyCare Oncology Plan; where Dr Naicker advised that he will submit his recommended treatment Plan for chemo to Discovery Health – which should take 7-10 business days for approval.</p> <p> </p> <p>To date – we have still not received any useful feedback as between the Oncologist & Discovery Health, they cannot seem to agree on the approved Treatment plan for Keycare members (which I find extremely hard to believe), certainly this is not the first ever KeyCare member diagnosed with breast cancer?</p> <p> </p> <p>There must be a better, more efficient way to deal with these very sensitive, life altering situations?</p> <p>My mom is going through a very difficult time in her life and after making the difficult decision to have a double mastectomy – we now hit this roadblock where the cancer that’s left in her system is untreated for over 5 weeks?</p> <p> </p> <p>Please can someone help\advise when this will be approved or atleast what the latest status is?</p> <p>membership number: ***</p>
