I have been with Discovery since 2004 and failed to pay on one of my membership payments for a month when my company decided to shift to another medical aid in 2014 ,as I was in process of trying to find money to repay my account I heard the account was handed over to some debt collectors who are charging me too much . I have since rejoined Discovery and paying about 4400 per month , but every month I am in pain thinking the very same company I am paying this kind of money is somehow responsible for my troubles I have with my credit record when I am paying them every month for my medical aid I am quite sure there is something you can do for me as your client I dont mind paying this money I owe directly to you than pay a company that harrasses me with their phone calls SSDA I am your client now and for years please do the right thing dont punish me my name is Richard Ntando Ncube ***

If you leave the Discovery Health Medical Scheme part-way through the year, we calculate how much of the MSA you have used and how much you have contributed to it. If you have used more from the account than what you have paid into the account, then you will need to pay the difference to us.
Should we not receive a payment arrangement or payment towards the amount owing to the Scheme, we hand over this amount to an external collection agency. The external collection agency may charge you for administrative costs. You can discuss this with the external collection agency.
I am sorry that I could not provide you with a different outcome to your query however it is line with the Scheme rules.
