Not paying dentist fees even after confirming benefits

I have rated you a 4/5 because I haven't really had major issues with Discovery in the past. But there have been big messes with my last two dentists appointments. Earlier this month I phoned Discovery to confirm whether I can go to another dentist after we had problems with my son's filling visiting our regular dentist. The Discovery call centre consultant confirmed that we could go as long as they are also on the network. I took my son, the dentist fixed the previously blundered up filling and a few days later I received a Discovery email saying you won't be paying for this. There were various reasons and codes given. I told Ash that I had phoned Discovery two days before the appointment asking if we could go. She investigated and the consultant I had spoken to previously phoned me back apologizing for the error and for not explaining the "what cannot be done" properly. But still this wasn't paid. A while later my husband had excruciating toothache and before making the appointment I phoned Discovery again, this time asking for codes etc to make 100% sure what happened with my son doesn't happen again. I spoke to Cherisa who phoned the Dental Risk Company and then gave me all the codes that we could still use and also confirmed that my husband still had one filling and one extraction left for the year. She also said the Dr needed to phone the DRC before sending through the claim so they can make sure he uses all the codes given. We did all of this. Step by step. But once again got an email from Discovery saying you won't be paying this appointment.

I sent an email to Discovery on 17 August about this, but to date have had no response. I specifically phoned both times to check that we can go and the second time to make sure what codes we could still use, but still no payment.

This is frustrating and expensive. We specifically pay for medical aid each month to avoid these kind of expenses.

Please get back to me as the Dr is now hassling me to pay the outstanding fees.
