Not my first struggle with Discovery

I moved overseas for 2 years and want to downgrade my discovery medical aid membership while away, instead of stopping it altogether. After I sent in my documents I received an email from Discovery stating the downgrade cannot be done as "the main member has to request it". I am the only member on my medical aid.
