Not happy with application criteria for adding dependants

<p>I am a current Discovery Health member and recently I've tried adding both my parents and my younger brother as beneficiaries without any luck.</p> <p> </p> <p>My dad is a pensioner, and my younger brother goes to a special school, my mum is self-employed through Tupperware.</p> <p> </p> <p>My dad and my brother have no income and my mum earns commission, meaning if she doesn't do her sales target she doesn't get paid hence her, my dad and my brother are financially dependent on me. On the income question I put a R15k and Discovery declined it saying she does get income. I did call to explain that the income is not consistent because some months my mom doesn't get paid because she doesn't always make her sales target. She sometimes goes for 3 months without being paid. Discovery refuses to add my parents and my brother on my medical aid and I really fail to understand because it's not like the medical aid is free, I will still be paying a lot of money to them.</p> <p> </p> <p>Someone suggested that I take a seperate medical aid for my parents and my brother which doesn't make sense to me because I will need to pay for vitality twice and the money goes off my account which is even more painful wherelese if they are dependents on my medical aid the money will get deducted from my salary.</p> <p> </p> <p>Someone please help.</p>
