NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY DISCOVERY'S RESPECT

After being advised by discovery consultants to upgrade my scheme (at double the price) to remove my wisdom teeth I have paid in a total of R7500 over and above my medical premium for things I was not aware were not covered. I have since left discovery and the breaking point was a pus sample sent to Ampath whilst I was under anaesthetic for my wisdom removal. I was advised that I go to hospital (not a day clinic) for the procedure as I was a high risk. I paid the extra amount for peace of mind in the case of complications. My specialist explained the pus sample was necessary as results showed resistance to antibiotics and without the results I could not have been discharged from hospital.<br> Subsequently I found that discovery refused to pay Ampath as \I had run out of savings and was not preauthorised". I feel that I was in hospital"
