None payment after 2 and a half years
On the 6th of May 2013 I was admitted to Milpark Hospital for EEG monitoring in a high care unit for 5 days. I had pre-authorisation. In July 2014 I was notified that Discovery would not be paying for the last 2 days of the hospital stay. After numerous phone calls I discovered in August 2015 that they didn't have the supporting documentation attached, I sent this through even though they had it for the authorisation. I then discovered in November 2015 that the documents had not been attached to the approval so this was resubmitted. The claim was once again denied. I then mailed the head of customer service and got a call to say that I should have been moved to a normal ward on day 4 of my hospital stay. I was not notified of this by Discovery or the hospital, how was I to know when I was stuck in a room hooked up to an EEG! I want Discovery to settle the matter with Milpark hospital, as I don't believe this is for my account and I have been handed over to lawyers by Milpark. I am appalled by the lack of follow up on this and the fact that it is 2 and a half years later! I want this resolved ASAP and to be contacted by someone who can in fact make a decision!
