No response after *****ing up chronic medicine
My wife is on chronic medicine for hereditary high cholesterol, and with her last visit, the cardiologist added more meds to be used together with the meds she was already using.<br> We app**** for the new meds to be added to the chronic benefit. They approved it, but cancelled the other meds without consulting us. The cardiologist is of the opinion that she needs to use both.<br> She queried Discovery on 28 August, and they told us via email on 1 September that we will get feedback within 2 or 3 working days.<br> It is now 11 September, and we're still waiting. I rep**** to their email this morning to find out what's going on, but they did not answer.<br> This is pathetic. The medicine is for a potentially life-threatening condition, and they just don't care to sort it out.<br> I want the customer services manager (not some call centre agent) to contact me TODAY.
Thank you for allowing me to assist you with your query.
As discussed, for medication to continue funding from the Chronic Illness Benefit, a script needs to be sent to us every 6 months. Your wife's chronic illness medication was expired on our side as we hadn't received a script in over the 6 months period.
We have received the script you emailed me and our Chronics Team have updated your wife's medication according.
Please feel free to contact me should you need further assistance on this matter.
Kind Regards
