Thanks for the response. However, if someone takes the time to go back on the history of my mails and queries, they will see what the issue is.
I can't get my father's previous medical aid number from Spectramed as they are no longer in existence and when they were taken over by Health squared they only shared current members details and not members who had left the scheme.
Doctors only keep records for 5 years so we cant get the scheme number from them.
I have requested a copy of the documents my father filled in when joining Discovery which I have not received. If you bothered to follow the mail trail you would see where I requested them from Discovery.
Again if you bothered to read the mail trail and open the attachment's there is an affidavit explaining that Health squared cannot give him the medical aid number for Spectramed as they never received them and that he was on a medical aid before Discovery.
Medical schemes have a law in place where us as customers have to prove we were on a medical scheme going back years but medical schemes and doctors are not required to keep the records that we need. This I find very unfair as how is an 84 year old supposed to remember which scheme he was on from the age of 35. How was he to know when he was 35 that he would need to provide proof of medical schemes when he is 84????????
