No maternity Benefit!!!!!!
I am 8 months pregnant and have been with discovery since October 2023 but they will not cover me for maternity benefits, my employer pays my medical aid without fail but I have been subjected to pay a private institution for my antenatal care and also opt to give birth in a public hospital since discovery says I'll only qualify for my maternity benefit in November, I am very upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!

23 Aug 2023, 14:44Yes I got a call from Abida the Client relationships manager and i'm unhappy, her explanation of why i could not be covered doesn't make sense, she said I should not have disclosed that I previously had a miscarriage because Discovery now sees me as High risk and that's why they will not cover me for maternity benefit???????????? asked her if i should have **** on the form and say I never had a miscarriage, I obviously need medical aid and private care if you deem me as high risk duh?? Abida said she will speak to other managers and will call me back, it's been a week, please call as I am due on the 12th September, so i need to prepare my self and my baby.
