No Longer Happy with Discovery

Discovery has turned into a very predatory company. They have dedicated people stationed at hospitals now that tell you what they won't pay for!

When you compare products the first thing it says is, and I quote, "Unlimited cover in any private hospital"

This is in fact a lie. When you read the small print on the very last page of the PDF file you will see that they will refuse to admit you to hospital for any back or neck related ailments unless you pay R4800 up front.

The person at the hospital will also then tell you they will cover a maximum of 6 days in hospital. This information is not available in PDF "Plan guide" but it seems Discovery does whatever they want.

Over the last few years Discovery has devolved into a company that would harass you non-stop with phone calls and whatsapp messages if you have the audacity to browse products while logged in.

However they will go even further out of their way to not pay for your treatment as far as possible.

I would probably try someone else.
