NO HELP FROM DISCOVERY TO RESOLVE A SIMPLE MATTER

This review actually includes both a one star and a five star, the five start is for ONE particular consultant only.

I had a complaint since AUGUST this year about Discovery taking two antenatal consultations from my maternity benefits for one actual consultation with my gynae. I ranted and raved and explained to their useless consultants what they need to fix, and every time I was ignored for weeks on end with not even one response. I complained on Hello Peter, Facebook and even via email but still they ignored me like a stop street. Every time I would phone discovery my calls were disconnected because the consultant did not want to deal with me, I wasted so much airtime on this pathetic medical aid!!! Being in my 9th month of pregnancy; this was the last thing that I needed to be stressed about, but why would they care? IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!! I have already made up my mind and I am leaving this pathetic medical aid end of December 2018 because I do not need to pay for services that I am not getting, I would also encourage other members to make sure you are not being ****** of your benefits.

With that being said - I would want to give a full FIVE stars for one particular consultant only, her name is Sonam Narayan. This is the lady you want to speak to, to resolve your issues in a nick of time!!! She was the only consultant who listened and tried to understand what I was expecting from her, she did not cut me off and treated me like an idiot!!! I work in a medical field, I know how medical aid claims work and I knew what the problem was in the first place!!! She took the time and effort to resolve my matter in a few days, she made my issue her issue, she was adamant to resolve it in a way that I was expecting her to do it. I hope her manager praises her for her EXCELLENT work because she deserves to be praised for her manner of resolving queries and the way she treats her clients, she did not see me as just a number, she saw me as a very frustrated client who needed her matter to be resolved, she took the matter into her own hands and made a point to resolve it!!! I really hope you get to see this comment and feel proud of yourself because you were excellent, Discovery should train consultants up to your level because you shine above the rest. THANK YOU SONAM!!
