No cover for accident

My fiance was in an accident in December and unconscious, had to be rushed to Casulaties. all sorts of scans etc were done as he had a head and knee injury. We have now received bills over R10 000 as according to Discovery our medical aid savings were used up and they do not see the accident as life threatening or urgent. Numerous calls and emails to the scheme and no one gets back to us with an answer. Today I will be contacting the ombudsman and council for medical aid schemes.
