No Compliance with this medical aid - MUST READ

After recent discussions I was informed that my old policy savings fund is transfered into my new savings fund.
After discussions with Discovery, I am not accepting the fact that you state on a legally binding document that my funds will be transfered into my bank account - the same story that several employees told me telephonically last year when I switched to a new employer. Now the story is that you have transfered it in my new policy, and that is how it is.

Despite your "current" policy - the attached letter that Discovery sent me very clearly states and confirms what the process was on 18 December 2016. This is a legal document and I expect Discovery to treat this professionally. Suddenly everyone in your company tells me this is not the process. Go and access my phone recordings the end of 2015, read the letter you sent to me. Doe's Discovery not have clear communication, clear processes and a staff force that convey one message?? I have waited long enough for this to be resolved. It's time to name and shame and do whatever is neccesary to get Discovery to catch a wakeup.

Discovery take note - I am only with you because that is the choice of my employer. I pay for a service and I expect service. I am sick of **** service delivery from South African companies like yourselves. This enquiry is going on for a month now and you just do not care. I am very serious that I will take legal action - purely because of the weak customer treatment of companies such as this. It is sickening to know you spend your hard earned cash on giants that just do not give a ****.

Hi Ferdie
We’re sorry for the frustration you’ve clearly experienced. We looked into your case and hope we can explain the situation to you.
If a principal member transfers to another policy or scheme with a Medical Savings Account (MSA) component, we are required by law to transfer the MSA refund amount to the new policy. This legal requirement is in place for your protection. We can confirm that your MSA was transferred, and this is why we cannot refund it to you. We understand that this may not be the outcome you hoped for. However, please be assured that it is line with the Scheme rules and the legislative requirements that we are duty-bound to comply with.
Please accept our apologies for the manner in which your requests were handled. We have since addressed the service you received internally to make sure this does not happen again. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can assist in any other way.
Regards
Norman
