No communication

I sent an email to Bruce Frank from discovery querying why my debit order had not gone off as yet. I got a response stating that the bank had not confirmed if payment was successful and it usually takes 3-7 working days to find out. Strange but I beleive him. I took my daughter to the Dr today and the claim did not go through the lady at the accounts at the Dr's office was kind enough to call and find out what's going as the error message she got was unusual. After holding they tell her that my account is on hold mind you I have received no communication from Discovery regarding this as per Bruce's email I would be notified if anything should happen. I get on the phone to speak to someone in accounts she tells me she has all my information in front of her. However when I relay my story she sounds confused and keeps saying ummm then puts me hold for so long that I decide to drop the call and pay the bill myself. I am utterly disgusted and would like any other medical aid to call me because I'm sure they would treat me like they actually give a toss!!!

Hello Nashesmom,

Thank you for speaking to me.

I confirmed that the Scheme submits debits for monthly and awaits for confirmation from the banks to confirm whether the payment was successful or not. We requested a debit on 02/03/2015 and received confirmation on 05/03/2015 that the debit order rejected. As part of our credit control process, member's are notified by email and/or sms if they debit order rejects. I confirmed that this communication was sent to you yesterday morning by email and sms. Unfortunately, I am unsure as to why this information was not delivered to you on time. I received your proof of payment and lifted the suspension on your policy. I sent you an email with confirmation and explained how you can submit your claim for processing.

Kind regards
Bruce
