no authorization after days

my daughter went to the Dr who referred her to the gynae and did all the papers required for authorization for going to see the specialist last week Thursday morning and on Monday I called to find out the status since my daughter was in pain and still waiting for an authorization and I was told they haven't approved it yet and still waiting. and it should take 48 for approval, that I was told when I took out the medical aid with discovery. today its Thursday and there's still nothing from discovery. a week later there's is still nothing. is this how a person is treated when they need to go see a Dr when sick? but month end they don't wait that long to debit my account for contributions. I am so angry with discovery.
