A year ago i had a call from discovery health , i had a good medical aid, but this Lady convinced me that i can get the same bennefits and more with discovery for half the premium. Ofcourse i chose discovery as i was promised the son, moon and stars. She sold me Keycare start plan. For a year i paid my premiums strictly, and the FIRST time that i needed to go to a hospital urgently, i was admitted, stayed 6 days, had an x-ray taken aswell as a sonar,, and i had blood taken for testing. NOW ALL the invoices are coming back to me.... not paid by discovery, when i tried to contact them i was told that I HAD TO GET AUTHIRIZATION TWO DAYS BEFORE I WENT TO HOSPITAL!!!!! How on earth could i know 2 days before.... that im gonna fell sick.? Im hospital only did i find out, i have NO emergency bennefits, i have NO dental bennefits, im 62 years old for heavan sake. Without me knowing they also charged me for a late joiner fee, but i have never been without a med.aid. Then after my first letter of complaint to you, all of a sudden a lady, by the name Adrian, called me, promised me that she WILL fix this whole mess..... needles to say, never heard from her again. All these accounts together is more a less R22 000, im a pensioner where on earth am i going to get this kind of money. Please help hellopeter.
