Money making scheme

I'm so dissapointed,i have been with discovery for full 7 years without a single hospital claim,i cancelled my medical aid end of May and now i want to reinstate i'm told that the waiting period will apply because i have a pre existing condition and i will have to pay for 2 months that i've been out of medical aid,the same happened to my friend and she is with bestmed they reinsted hers without any waiting period,why is discovery failing to do the same????
