Money Making Medical Aid

Good Day, I am so disgusted by the way discovery handles their members. On the 26th of October 2015 we took my son SZ Mapasa to casualty as he hurt his knee while doing athletics at school. His knee was swollen and the x-rays couldn't show anything. We were advised to do a follow up on the 30th of October 2015 as the Doctor couldn't see anything and hoping when we do a follow up the swelling would have reduced. They had to do an MRI scan in order to ascertain what the problem was. He was then admitted to the hospital on the very same day. The operation was done on the 31st of October 2015. On the 1st of October 2015 an Orthotist came and saw him and provided him with leg braces for rehabilitation process. The Orthotist submitted the claim to discovery and he was never paid. When I called the medical aid to find out why was the claim not paid, I was told that I do not have any savings on my medical aid. But what I don't understand why was the authorization granted for him to be hospitalized and operated and they are unable to cover the rehabilitation process costs. Discovery is a money making scheme. Gone are the days of best medical aid scheme. This is truly disgusting.
