Money hungry Discovery

I got retrenched last year and unfortunately had to pay for the savings that I used as they pro rata this for the months that I paid against the savings that I used, so long story short, I was owing around 2000 rand. Towards the end of last year a company called me stating that I need to pay, I advised them that I was unemployed and as soon as I get a job I will pay. They told me that I should make some payment as the interest and charges are increasing. I then asked them if this was a loan as according to my knowledge this was a medical aid and why should their be interest and charges. They were unable to answer me, however I did see that I am now owing around 700 rands more than what it was last year. If I am struggling at the moment and I cant pay, how will I be able to pay if you keep increasing the amount owed??? Please stop killing me and give me an amount that I can pay towards and finish this, instead of, even if I make a small payment this will go for interest and charges and I will be owing Discovery forever.
