Money hungry and *********... clawback claims after draining funds.

I would like to start off this email by stating we have been long standing clients with Discovery and have never been so shocked and appalled as when receiving this ******* automatically generated email stating we need to pay you over R14 000 because we left our medical aid.

We did not leave our medical aid with discovery for any other reason as i am newly employed and they offer medical aid as part of my package, unfortunately i fell ill my first week into the new employment and had to be hospitalized.

This is where i get a bit confused by your claims, firstly we have been on said medical aid for almost 9 years and have been fortunate to never have been hospitalized for illness. (So our Hospital side of the fund should be nice and plump)

I was hospitalized with Bronchitis which after tests was said was caused by an "unknown" virus, a virus which is effecting my lungs, liver and due to the pressure in my head suspectedly my brain. This lead Dr Okoli to run tests, which Discovery deemed fit to deduct from our savings fund which left us with a depleted fund. You claim medical tests done in Hospital "relevant to the reason being hospitalized" gets paid by the hospital fund. One would think being in the hospital and a test being done would automatically asume it is relevant to the illness.

We did not dispute these deduction due to us already being in the process of going to the new scheme, but now you have my full attention and if this can not be resolved in a timely manner i will be laying an complaint against you with the Council of Medical Aid, and while i am at it Dr.Okoli who then according to you runs unnecessary tests on his patients and deplete their medical aids for his own benefits. Which in proxy makes both Discovery and said Dr accomplices in medical aid *****.

The Medical tests comes to a whooping R15929.73 And the hospital stay R12001.62 Coming to a total of R27931.36

Can you kindly look into this matter and get back to me? I do not want, but is fully willing to make a very big deal out of this amount due claim. No normal person has that money to just give away to a fund who was suppose to have your back and protect you against being milked by *****ulent Doctors.
