Missled by discovery health

<p>few months back i filled out a Discovery health survey to protest as my savings portion on a plan that i pay for both myself and my wife had run out so early in the year. Few days later i was contacted by a follow up representative from discovery to see if they can assist me with my problem. I questioned as to why i have to pay a levy on various of my wifes chronic medication ? I stated that they were already the generic cheaper option. I was told thats how their scale works even after telling her that its goverment gazetted that these chronic conditions be covered in full...anyway to cut a long story short. The representative suggested to look at my wife's medication for type 2 diabetis so see where we can save.</p> <p>She advised that the medication Lyrica should be under chronic and that it is covered by discovery and she explained that discovery would cover a certain portion of the cost. She stated that my wife would have to go back to the doctor to get it added to my wife's chronic medication she sent me the chronic forms. </p> <p>My wife went to the doctor to get the forms filled out as this is the process I emailed the forms and later the same day we got an automated response to say DECLINED and that Lyrica is not covered by discovery.</p> <p>I called discovery again to find out why it was declined , only to be told that medication is not covered by discovery. I asked for the transcript of the conversation i had with the representative and was told i cannot get a copy but i am free to come in and lsten to it. The representavive suggested that he and his superviser will listen to it and come back to me. Few days later the representative called me and said they had listened to the conversation and concured that i was told i can get this medication on chronic. He explained that all he could find wrong was that i didnt state the correct condition on the chronic form. I once again sent my wife back to the doctor to get the forms filled out with the right condition. I emaied these forms to discovery chronic department once again and was rejected once again as they do not cover this medication. I called chronic department and asked to explain why this is rejected again after i was told this medication is coverd. They too went back to the recording of where i was told i can get this medication on chronic but said even though i was told this the representative did cover herself by saying i have to apply for it as that is discoveries procedure. I explained to him that this is contradictory as you have just told me discovery does not cover this medication at all. I now seek to take legal action against discovery for missleading me with lies after lies. I also seeking legal advice as to why i have to pay a levy on GENERIC CHRONIC MEDICATION when the goverment gazette speciffically states that chronic condition has to be covered in full. These people at Discovery post huge proffits every year but seek to deny you your basic rights as per law.</p>
