Medication being delivered is expired by a year

I logged a complaint on the 04/12/2015 with several departments at Discovery and only Mariana Lotz contacted me but with no resolution as yet. My mum was admitted into hospital under the authorization number ***9 at Life Fourways on the 10/04/2015 for 5 days.After treatment her insulin was changed to insuman.I further had to changed her Discovery plan from Delta to Classic at an addition cost of almost R1000 more per month.This brings me to my height of anger and frustration:On replacing one of her cartridges I took a look at the details on the tube only to discover that the expiry date is 12/2014.She has this medication since 07/2015.I demand a detailed explanation as to why Lot No 3F061A Insuman which is expired has been dispatched to a 64 year old pensioner.All the above additional costs, stress, and health issues placed upon my mum and I are due to Discovery issuing expired medication to their patients.Had we both not notice the expiry date on this medication we would have thought it was just my mum's health, but in fact it is the company responsible for her wellbeing submitting expired medication. Who know's how this has affected her health so far. Very disappointing!!!!!!
