Medically negligent medical aid
On 5th April 2016 I went to Dischem Cradlestone mall to collect my chronic medication for EPILEPSY. The pharmacist could not process the transaction as my medical aid was SUSPENDED. I received NO WARNING nor notice from Discovery. Phoned Discovery (Sinazo) at 14:07 - no resolution. Supervisor Chief confirmed membership suspended - non payment - insufficient fund. My bank statement shows NO rejection or reversal. Seems Discovery NEVER raised debit order on ABSA. Discovery adamant that ABSA at fault. I requested proof that Discovery raised request on ABSA - they are unable to provide this. I requested that the suspension on my membership be lifted for 48 hours for issues to be sorted out. I explained to Chief that I had NO medication and medically could not go without. He refused to lift the suspension. As all calls are recorded and he had become sarcastic on the call, I requested that the call be played back to his manager and that the manager call me back within 2 hours. STILL WAITING - DISCOVERY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE WELL-BEING OF THEIR CLIENTS AND ARE MEDICALLY NEGLIGENT. FAST BECOMING A CARTEL
