Medical **** sound more like it.

Ladies, PLEASE NOTE: When you think you are going for a pap smear, discovery classic smart probably expects you to do your OWN pap smear and send it off for testing, they do NOT cover any Dr's consultation for this. I can't understand how they cover something to be tested but don't cover the health professional who is actually performing the procedure for it to be tested. Which FYI the going rate is now between R1800 - R2500 which you need to pay out of your own pocket. YET, the benefit on the app clearly states 1 pap smear every 3 years, but it is MY fault because i didn't call them as well to find out if it is the dr and pap smear or only the pap smear when the 2 goes hand in hand and what use is the information on the app then when they only provide half of the information...seems more like false advertising. Furthermore I wish to state that I was on Affinity which is not a medical aid, but only a medical insurance and they covered 1 in full EVERY YEAR, yet you think medical aid is better and you get half every 3 years. Even though pap smear is compulsory every year to prevent cervical cancer. Seems like discovery would rather pay for cancer treatment than prevention of it.
