Medical aid farce

Why do we pay for medical aid when it is always such an issue to claim? My wife had an accident and went to the Westville Hospital Emergency room to be checked out and have X-Rays done. But because she was not checked in to hospital and because she did not get authorisation, the medical aid says this has to come out of the medical savings that we have. At this time of the year that has been depleted. I do not understand this utter bull**** that we have to go through. I pay over R60 000 rand a year to the medical aid and when we need it for an accident they do not want to pay. Surely going to the emergency room at a hospital for treatment for an accident should automatically be covered by the medical aid?

I find this utterly ridiculous and pathetic that we now have to jump through hoops trying to sort this out.
