Medical Aid Co Payments

Hi, I do hope that all is well and wish to convey my unhappiness with Discovery.<br> <br> I am on a quiet a decent plan (Classic Priority) which costs about R6500 per month.<br> <br> My wife was admitted recently for kidney stones, I had to pay in a co-payment of R3150. While admitted for this, the urologist advised that he saw something in the scan and a gynaecologist needs to be visited.<br> My went in yesterday for a check-up and she has to be admitted for an issue with something on the womb.<br> She called Discovery for a pre authorisation and was advised that another co-payment of R5000 + is required.<br> <br> She was advised that we should upgrade to a comprehensive plan to avoid this...... As if money falls from the sky or grows on trees.<br> <br> I as well took my daughter for a paediatric cardiologist appointment, this costs R3800 of which Discovery only reimburses around R2000 or so.<br> <br> One would think that R6500 per month for a medical aid plan should cover these type of things.<br> <br> Please could you help with this?<br>
