Medical aid cancelled due to not disclosing a ****le on eyelid!!!!

Good afternoon.

I received a call a few minutes ago regarding my membership. The agent contacted me stating that my membership will be cancelled due to non-disclosure for a ****le on my childs eyelid.

The child visited the doctor in September (before cover) for a ****le on here eyelid and as per the GP all she needed was an eye ointment and an antibiotic. The problem did not go away so I took her again and the same thing was told. When the ****le moved to the other eye, that’s when the GP referred her to a specialist.

I did not know at the time that I needed to disclose a ****le on an eyelid. I used to be on Discovery Medical aid for many years before 2012- 2019 until I lost my job. Once I got a new job, the first thing I did was to get back onto medicals aid now I must have it cancelled?

Think for a second, I have always been in the financial and medicals fields during my years as a sales rep. do you think that I would not know that all medicals results and diagnosis are not recorded? Why would I jeopardize my kids well being especially in December?

This is totally not called for and I am really unhappy about this decision.
