Medical Aid Application

<p>I had the most terrible experience so far. They tell you be honest about your conditions or past conditions. Then you mention depression and you are interrogated like you are a pshycopath. </p> <p>Then you try and add you pensioner parents on the medical aid as dependents and even though they were on medical aid most of their lives but cannot specifically remember what happened 35 years ago they want to give a penalty of 50% to each parent. A R 1000 penalty for a pensioner who earns R 4 700 per month and now has to pay R 3 300 instead of R 2200 for medical aid. This is absolutely ridiculous. Then you talk to another medical aid and they immediately accept your parents with the same information and affidavit you used in the Discovery application.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would strongly advise that people who want to join Discovery should do their homework, because to them it is all about how much they can get and not what service they can provide.</p> <p> </p> <p>I will never do business with Discovery for any of their products. Surely this is not ethical??????</p>
