MATERNITY BLOOD TESTS NOT COVERED!

I went in for my routine maternity bloods test prescribed by my doctor. Discovery has decided that they only cover a part payment for the initial 5 blood tests that are mandatory and thereafter when I went for the mandatory Down's screening bloods, they refused to pay for it. According to Discovery, these tests are not covered on the maternity benefit which makes not sense because they are mandatory. Why provide an allocation of about 10 blood tests and not cover mandatory tests?????

To make matters even worse, they have taken off all the blood tests done under my allocation for the maternity benefit. So even if they are not willing to pay for it, they will take it off your allocation which is actually dishonest!!

I also followed up with my doctor who was shocked that they will not pay for these tests because he mentioned that all of his other patients on Discovery were covered for this so why am I being told I need to pay????
