Maternity benefit? Where?
Discovery says: "Being pregnant is a very important time in a woman's life, and a time when you don't want to worry about medical aid cover" This is nonsense, I have gone for the very 1st scan at 8 weeks since we did IVF, We did a fetal assessment at 12 weeks. 2scans used and you don't pay for more scans from the maternity benefit????? (during pregnancy I am sure more than 2 scnas are done). For the fetal assessment you covered 1/4 of the costs....when asked where in PTA is the providers on your list I get told you only have one in CPT. So even though you don't have providers in PTA you still don't pay more than 100%. Your wording in your policies are so misleading you bring a person under the impression that your classic saver plans covers 200% but that is not the whole truth what you don't explicitly show in the docs is that everything paid from the MSA is only at 100%. Everywhere in the docs you show that only coastel and essential is 1000%. You cover a list of blood test under the maternity benefit, but we are not at liberty to know what the list is. A down syndrome blood test also not covered under maternity benefit. I am really failing to see from your words that being pregnant you don't want to worry about medical aid where this is the truth??? So far I am paying R3600 for 1 person and I don't see the benefit at all. We paid so much money to have this little miracle only to find out we will need to keep on paying because you cannot rely on medical aid
