Maternity Benefit - Discovery

My wife fell pregnant in August 2022.

We did not know we should activate the maternity benefit, as with our first child, the doctor did it on our behalf.

Ive submitted claims for doctors visits and blood tests, and now Discovery will not honor these claims, as the benefit was not activated!!

Ridiculous, was my wife pregnant or not? Why have a benefit over all your plans, but not activated.

This seems to be one big money making exercise, where you con your members out of the early visits!!
