Managed Healthcare - I think not!

Discovery Health is supposed to be managed Healthcare. I was recently unexpectedly admitted to hospital. The Discovery case manager assured me that she was managing my case. I was in hospital for 11.5 days. Discovery only covered 6. My doctor uodsted Discovery and still nothing get paid as it would seem that the case manager isn’t actually managing my case. A month has passed. I have soent hours on the phone with Discovery. It is now time for top management to get involved. I am due for admission again on 1 Dec and will be held liable for the outstanding account of R20 000 due to the hospital.
