Loaded on ITC for an account which I paid
I was denied a loan today due to a ITC listing made by discovery, 7 months ago, after I made the payment on the same day I received their notification. I even received a sms that they received my payment and my account was cleared, how does one explain that ?? Can anybody just list you on ITC without checking if it is valid and you really have not paid? Isn't this an infringement of my consumer rights ?? Why must I, the consumer now suffer damages to my name due to the incompetence of your staff or systems ?

As discussed the listing on ITC has been removed and we sent you confirmation via email. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the manner in which your query was addressed. I confirmed that should a payment agreement be made and not honoured then we hand over the amount due to the Scheme for collection with an external collection agency. A listing is then also created. I confirmed that payment was received after the listing was done and this is why it remained based on the current ITC process at that time. A new ruling was made this year that once payment is received for an amount owing to the Scheme the listing is to be removed and not updated.
