Key Care Plus - THEY SEEM TO KNOW MY AFORDABILITY BETTER THAN ME!!!!

<p>Firstly apologies for the bad grammer and maybe awful tone or words</p> <p>as my frustion has just gotten the better of me!</p> <p> </p> <p>I received a letter - Medical scheme beneifts for 2017 with amounts that match my current bracket which i double checked on the website to be correct, i later receive and sms which says discovery didnt receive my proof of income as required and therefore my contribution will increas to the highest income band on the 1 of Jan 2017, I call discovery - using the options request another medical scheme benefits letter - which i received stating the same as the first - i call again this time to speak to a consultant after alot of people and hassel i get through to a lady who was helpful and gave me the info that i need to send through proof and she apologied for the incorrect information on the emails of the scheme, i mentioned to her i am in sales but earn a basic salary and comm in targets are readch i also am the primary person on the lease where i live therefore monies are transfered to me and i pay the rent to the landlord, so im scared withe the NEW RULES that Discovery is going to over charge me, she assured me its no problem that i should send through all paperwork , and an affidavet stating that i do not own property that i rent out but instead that i should state the arrangement and send all of this in as soon as possible so they can work on it and that all should be fine as the situation makes perfect sense. so this morning after sending everything i needed to i call again this time to make sure all that they needed is sent through and i am on the bracket i need to be on, again no hassel with the agent that answered - she checked all the stuff received and said to me to hold on i can get confirmation that all is in order now etc. so i hold, she gets back on teh line saying that the team that makes this decision says that they had a look at ONE of the payslip's and it is above the income band and therefore i should be on the highest - i again explained to her that i earn comm if target is reached and it is not garanteed income monthly and asked why arent they looking at my basic salary instead as i am garanteed that income every month - MAKES SENSE RIGHT? she says to me she understands and that she will get them on the line - Rowan - gets on the line and says to me they work with all incomes and he looked at the average of the 3 payslips sent i can afford the higher band note that of the 3 slips sent the amounts were not constant and even a month that i didnt make a cent of comm. - i go on to say to him how can he make this decision based on three months - this entire year i could have only made comm those two months how does that make sense - he says well it seems like you can afford it by what i have!!!! he says that this is the way they work, this arrangement was approved by the board of directors as well as the medical board and this is how it is there isnt anything he can do, i say to him i cannot afford to be on the higher bracket and not taking my basic into consideration is leaving me in a position as i cannot garantee to make these payments - so what happends on the makes i dont make extra income?? i dont pay my medical aid? it gets suspended and cancelled because i cannot afford it but thats ok because he said i can?? i am so ****ed of right now! I am a single mum with a 2year old and while this may not be an issue for some who can afford this, i cannot and yet still trying to have everything i need to, and to be told - oh well from what i see you can afford it ****es me off... now whatever extra money i can earn turns to dust because i have to make this in order to pay my damn medical aid that works out my affordability based on 3 payslips and his judgement telling me well banks do the same when they hand out LOANS! no idiot they work will all expenses! this is a FAIS registered institute is FICA not considered... am i the only one that feels this way? i cannot believe that this can get approved - is it now only all about the Money?</p>
