Is Vitality still worth it

With all the changes to Vitality I wonder if it's still worth it to improve your Vitality status. Previously your discounts were determined by your Vitality status. Now that they decided to give everyone on Vitality the same discount just defeat the purpose. When I complained with them, they gave a pathetic response. What's the purpose of Vitality then? People worked harder to improve their status to get better discounts, now you don't have to do anything
