Is Discovery Health a waste of money

I have made 6 phone calls to Discovery to no avail. Today I made 4 of the 6 calls. The 1st person I got through sounded like she had an apple in her mouth while talking to me. When I told her that she put the phone down. I connected to the 2nd person and as soon as I connected, the call cut. The 3rd and 4th - after all the lengthy voice prompts it went to and 083 voice message system.

The problem - We pay about R 13 000 for medical aid for the 3 of us per month. Discovery contributes on chronic R55 for Vuzo (cholesterol control). I asked the pharmacy for an equivalent and they are all subsidized by R55 - my protion arond R400. I want to know from discovery what else can I take as an equivalent so that I do not have to put in the other R420 for cholesterol control. Perhaps another stent which would cost them R150 000? You just cannot get Discovery to answer. Good luck with a call back.
