Is Discovery good medical aid provider??

The answer is definitely not positive, below is my latest experience.

I have medical aid number *** with discovery, I checked their latest list of Network Hospital for 2021 from discovery website. It clearly specifies Mediclinic Midstream, Centurion is categorized as hospital under Delta. As, D-Delta is printed against it. Further, when authorization and urgent admission was supposed to be taken on 12th Jan 2021. The system of Discovery for hospital authorization was down and support staff informed me to contact in late afternoon or 13th. However, later Discovery staff states that in their system the hospital does not reflect as categorized as Delta hospital. And I need to pay R8700 as co-payment.

The discovery take their customer for granted and does not keep their system or published document in sync with their system. And institutionalized the unfair practice of ripping the customer when they come for claims.

If there is space to upload document then would have uploaded document downloaded from discovery website as proof too.
