INSURED NETWORK BENEFIT - External Medical Items

We are currently in our self payment gap and were advised that we can purchase External Medical Item as long as we use one of the suppliers on the list (provided in the INB brochure). <br> <br> What a load of ****!!!!!<br> <br> I spent more than an hour on the phone with various Discovery consultants confirming the process of purchasing a CPAP machine for my husband. This is a life saving device and a necessity not a luxury.<br> <br> I received a reference number from the consultant who confirmed that the CPAP machine will be paid in full from the INB as we used a supplier on the list and they used the correct NAPPI codes. This did not happen and Discovery only paid R 4953.96 and informed us we need to pay R4531.04.<br> <br> I have phoned discovery since the 9th of July and the query keeps getting escalated (whatever this means). We are at our wits' end. We desperately need the CPAP machine for my husband but Discovery does not seem to care about my husbands health and only cares about money!<br> <br> Discovery WAS one of the best medical aids to have, now, all they try and do is get out of paying accounts whilst charging exorbitant fees for services that are lacking if not, non existent!
