Incorrectly charged

I was hospitalised in Tshepo Themba Hospital on the 28/01/2017. I had ulcrs and the doctor did a G cope as part of examining me. He contacted discovery for authorisation. I was not informed of anything after that then the G scope was done. Discovery charged me from my savings and not on Hospital cover. I enquired about that from the contact centre. They told me that G scope is charged from my savings. I told them that I was not advised of that information when authorisation was done. No one could help me and I requested to speak to the manager. I was transfered to Perusa from Durban escalations. She told me she is a manager who is handling my query. After taking my details and query she promised to come back to me. She contacted my saying they can see the problem. She said authorisation was done electronically which is the reason why I was not informed. She promised that my savings will be refunded back however she is waiting for the SCope report from the doctor. She contacted the doctor without any luck of getting his response. I tried contacting the doctor myself (which I believe its not my duty). I only managed to speak to his assistance. She emailed motivation from the doctor. Perusa told me that they can not use motivational letter as they need the Scope report. I'm not the doctor and I'm in no position to provide them with what they want. its their duty to get what they need from the doctor. If they dont believe that the Scope was done, how come they charged me for it.</p> <p>After I laid a complaint with them, they only sent me documents about how they are charging on the 25/02/207. If this was made clear to me before the procedure, I was not going to continue and do something that will cost me while I'm hospitilised. </p> <p>Discovery my reinstate my funds as Perusa promised.
