Incorrect Procedure Code

Discovery refuses to refund us for our Hearing Aid Batteries as they do not recognise the Procedure Code that the Audiology practice uses. Despite myself, and the practice concerned, speaking to Discovery and emailing them numerous times to please be given the correct procedure code to use, Discovery cannot provide us with this information!

Beyond frustrating to deal with a MINOR issue like this!

My husband and I both wear hearing aids and the batteries last on average for one week... thus it is 4 batteries per week that we use. When a person has a disability and pays a very high premium for Medical Aid, you expect your Medical Aid to cover these minor claims, without huge hassles! I would love to know why a minor procedure code, like the one I am requesting, is such top secret information!

Irate member

Karin

Reviewer Update

Why does it not surprise me that despite being contacted by Discovery and being told that they would look into this matter and get back to me..... they have not done so!! It is now almost 2 weeks since I last heard from 2 persons from Discovery who were looking into this and who were both going to get back to me.

POOR SERVICE!!!
