Inconstancy

Absolutely disgusted with Discovery. I had an operation in February to have two tumours removed, which Discovery had covered. I was then advised by my specialist that I need to have a 3rd and 4th tumour removed, Discovery then declined this procedure, citing lack of information (motivational letter and sonars.) I then went for these sonars, which I had to pay for out of pocket. During these sonars it was discovered that the one tumour has grown 4cm in less than a month. Discovery still declined to cover this procedure, stating it is not covered under my plan. How then was the first procedure covered??? Surely if one procedure is covered, a second one that is the very same should be too. I should also mention that at the beginning of the year my old GP was no longer covered under my plan and Discovery took it upon themselves to allocate a new GP that’s based in Pietermaritzburg when I reside in Pretoria. Absolutely pathetic. I’m now left with a growing tumour that is causing emended pain and no means of covering it. Thanks Discovery
