Inconsiderate Medical Aid

I must say I was never fond of Discovery. Not any of their products. Unfortunately my Company only uses Discovery. I am on the Classic Delta Saver and moved over quickly to this plan for the fact that I was getting divorced and had to go off of his medical aid. Never saw that their hospitals are located far. I luckily don't get often sick to be admitted to hospital. Now with the corona virus I took into consideration that what if something might happen. I saw my closest hospital indicated on google maps is 43km. Their rule states that to upgrade you need 50km distance. I wanted to go over to Essential saver which is a downgrade for me but according to them an upgrade. They immediately refused me by strictly staying on their 50km rule. I have a 5year old and if something might happen they won't care. I am an single mom so for me to rush for an emergency to hospital at any given time of day is unsafe for the fact that there is so much crime and now with the road closures being so strict. I feel Discovery does not care for their clients but just the money. I keep being told that if an emergency arises I can go to any hospital paying in R8000. So after deductions my salary isn't even R8000. Thanks Discovery for me being responsible for putting me and my daughter's life at risk for your inconsiderateness. Please don't bother contacting me.
