Incompetency at handling debit order changes

I had the unfortunate experience of Discovery Health's incompetence when it comes to making changes to debit orders. Month 1 :My debit order should have run on the first day of the new month - which it didn't - dsicovery then suspended my services and I did an EFT to sort out this issue. Month 2: No debit order run on the 01/03 even after speaking to various people at Discovery Health at my expense prior to this to ensure that the debit order would run. Then lo and behold on the 11/03 a debit order for R11k runs off my bank a/c which in the first place does not have sufficient funds thereby causing a debit order rejection incurring me a charge and preventing me from using available funds to buy even basic food stuff for myself - I have kept the receipt from the food store where I was embarrased by Discovery Health's sheer incompetence!!!!

Being a former employee working on the systems side - the solution is to remove the flag on the debit order run for the 11/03 and change this to the first day of the month. It doesn't take rocket science to figure this out just a bit of logic. You have messed up and incured me about R300 worth of debit order rejection fees as well as causing me embarrasment in front of my family and others due to your incompetence.

You claim to be the best Medical aid - to me your service and attitude is indifferent - I have been a loyal member of your scheme for over 10 years however this incompetency has resulted in me weighing my options with respect to selecting a health scheme. You are not the only provider of medical health in this country and you are not cheap as well so please step up and provide a proper service which I am paying you handsomely for!!!

And here we go again -- LO and Behold Discovery once again ***** up the debit order process. After assuring me multiple times that my debit order issue has been rectified my debit order doesn;t run as expected. I now try to do manual payment and guess what I need to use an 18 digit reference number because standard bank wont accept my membership number as a reference.

Incompetency beyond belief -- empty promises and inconveniencing people. I had to pay debit order reversal charges and I was told to send and entire bank statement to them to reverse R230 which is miniscule compared to Discovery's Reserves.

Give me a reason not to move to another medical aid ?????
