Incompetency as usual!

Hi

I recently went off my husbands membership. And I am now the main member of my own membership. When I filled in the new application form, I clearly stated I want discovery to debit my account on the 10th of every month, nobody phoned me so I assumed everything was fine.

So on the 1st of August, discovery goes and debits my account and now it's my fault! I clearly stated discovery debits my account on the 10th. But anyways I phoned yesterday and they re debited the account last night and the money got paid and now they suspend my medical aid because of there incompetency ! Thing is with discovery, I am always having a problem and it's always the clients fault! I find this so unprofessional! It's not the first time discovery is giving me issues! So I emailed them proof of payment and I don't even hear anything back. When I call the call centre I get a bunch of sarcastic idiots answering, who can never tell me what the actual problem is! My husband left discovery medical aid, and I'm seriously considering changing my medical aid!!!
Hello Yasmin323,

Thank you for your comment

As discussed telephonically, I have investigated the matter and found that we omitted to action your request and that is why your debit order was still collected on the 1st. When you contacted us we advised that we can change the date to the 10th however this will result in another debit in the same month. You opted to keep your debit order date as the 1st of each month.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologies for the frustration you have experienced in this regard. I have discussed this with the relevant manager to avoid any re-occurrences of this nature.

Kind regards
Dima
